Stories

Each of our lives is a story, and each story is part of God’s bigger story of redemption. There are many stories of how God's love is working in and through the Samburu. Your support makes a difference. You are part of their stories.

Here are some of the people whose lives have been transformed. You can also follow us on Facebook and subscribe to our newsletter to read more stories of how God is working.

Jackson's story

Jackson lost his mum in his early teenage years. Being his only parent he was sent to a remote village where a relative was to care for him. But he didn’t attend secondary school due to the heavy burden of school fees and the relative being unable to pay. After being out of school for a year, through Mission Samburu he was sponsored to complete secondary school and a year of Bible and ministry training, and graduated from a technical training school in automotive mechanics. He was also discipled through our field staff. Jackson is an outstanding young man that loves his Saviour Jesus, serves in his local church and is active in seeing young men discipled as he himself was.

Lmantero's story

Lmantero was always interested in the things of God. He was dependable and a reliable youth, but due to his parents’ difficult circumstances, he was sponsored through Mission Samburu to complete Secondary School and trained in our one year Bible and Ministry Training College. He is church leadership material and the sort of leadership that will go on to be the workers in our church planting movement.
